Ensure Accessible Ground Design
Ground design plays a crucial role in the overall accessibility and safety of a playground. A well-designed surface ensures that children of all abilities, including those using mobility aids, can easily navigate and enjoy the space.

- Use accessible, impact-absorbing surfaces like rubber mulch, poured-in-place rubber, or compacted engineered wood fiber.
- Ensure pathways and play zones have level transitions without tripping hazards.
- Include tactile markers or grooves to guide children with visual impairments.
- Ensure at least 1 in 5 play elements in each sector meets accessibility standards, offering features such as movement generation or dynamic play.
