Environmental Education and Biodiversity Preservation

The origins of vacant or empty plots are diverse. These spaces are a great opportunity for the renaturalization of cities. Before intervening, you must make sure that the headline is public. When that land is destined for a future building, reversible interventions must be made. Otherwise, the situation must be taken as a complete opportunity to renaturalize the area. There are different ways:

  • Allow the natural evolution of the process with no or minimal intervention. This will allow us to have a sample of the current health and biodiversity of the environment.
  • Create biodiversity islands led by universities, local teams or citizens. These spaces are very interesting due to the explosion of diversity and biophilia.
  • Create natural microreserves and use them as a source of seeds
