Swimming pool Transfer Systems

Transfer systems in swimming pools provide autonomous access, especially for wheelchair users with upper body mobility. Incorporating these access options in pool design enables many users to use the facility safely and comfortably.
Transfer systems, such as transfer walls, allow users to move from a wheelchair to the pool with ease and stability. These structures are essential for individuals with reduced mobility who require support during the transition.

Swimming pool Ladders
  • The transfer system platform should be 40 to 50 cm higher than the floor of the surrounding area and flush with the water level.
  • Transfer systems width: 30 to 40 cm
  • Transfer wall length: At least 150 cm
  • A free space of 150 x 150 cm on the platform is required to ensure comfortable maneuvering.
  • A free margin of 60 cm in diameter must be left inside the pool around the transfer system.
  • Support bars should be installed perpendicular to the pool wall, leaving 60 cm of free space on both sides.
