Access and Connectivity

Access to parks should be versatile, ensuring that all users, whether on foot, in a wheelchair, on a bicycle, or using public transport, can easily reach and enjoy the space. The design should prioritize clear routes, visibility, and speed limitations for vehicles entering the park.

  • It must be accessible in various ways: on foot, by wheelchair, by bicycle, via public transport, taxis, etc.
  • Connect cycling routes with city bike lanes as much as possible.
  • Adequately mark all access points.
  • Use information boards or other wayfinding strategies.
  • Limit the speed of vehicles on park access lanes as much as possible.
